Specifying an industrial coating enquiry

  • Substrate and its current state

    Material, previous coating, degree of preparation achievable on site. A system that needs blast cleaning is not an option if only hand preparation is possible.

  • Exposure profile

    Temperature range including cycling, chemicals by name and concentration, immersion or splash, UV load, abrasion.

  • Application constraints

    Method, ambient conditions at application, available cure time and whether the asset can be taken out of service.

  • Documentation and compliance

    Which documents your QA process requires, and any client or sector specification the system must be declared against.
