Buying automotive coating material as a business
Three things determine whether an automotive enquiry can be quoted quickly: how precisely the colour is identified, the quantity, and the destination.
A manufacturer paint code is the strongest identifier. Where no code exists — a repainted vehicle, a faded panel, a custom finish — a physical sample or a spectrophotometer reading is worth more than a photograph, because camera white balance distorts effect finishes badly.
